Simon Poulding Blekinge Institute of Technology Abstract It is often a requirement that software maintains an adequate performance even when it is processing large amounts of data However it can be difficult to test this requirement one needs both realistic test data of many different sizes with which to exercise the software and an analysis method that enables the developer to understand how the performance changes with the size of the data In this talk we discuss our work on automatically generating realistic test data of different sizes and a novel analysis approach that provides a straightforward description of the performance characteristics of the software.
