7Wisdom Unveiled Proverbs 8 Introduction Proverbs 8 is devoted to the description and unveiling of Wisdom As the writer describes wisdom he intentionally uses human terms to describe Wisdom and gives to wisdom personhood The description comes to a climax in verses 2231 where Wisdom is described as being from everlasting present at creation and the delight of God Much of the description found in these verses point us to Jesus Christ who is the wisdom of God 1 Cor 124 30 who was present at creation John 123 existing eternally John 11 858 and the delight of the Father Mt 317 Phil 2911 As we unpack Wisdoms description we see that Jesus is Wisdoms perfect demonstration
