Thalidomide was found to be unsafe for pregnant women as it affected their developing foetuses Many women who took the drug gave birth to babies with severe limb deformities Later on Doctors discovered thalidomide could cure leprosy and started for patient suffering with the disease in the developing world But again children were born with abnormalities
